Boyfriend Considering Priesthood

Please pray for my boyfriend who is considering the priesthood, that he may know God’s will and do it. Please also pray for me, as I am devastated over this since I felt in my heart that he was truly meant to be my husband. I will place him in God’s hands and humbly ask that the Lord returns him to me. If that is not His will, let my will conform to his. Amen.

Priesthood and options...

Hi, may God Bless you very much no matter what your boyfriend's decision is. Sometimes I know letting go is very hard in life. Let him try the priesthood since he should get a feel of what it all consists of or else he could be always regretting of not trying and you don't want him blaming anyone if he didn't try it.

I am a Ukrainian Catholic and the priests in our Religion can get married before they get ordained top be a sub-deacon, deacon and then a priest. That is another option for you two if he is interested in going that route too.

Maybe first he should still try the Roman Catholic Seminary for a year. If he still thinks about you while he is there then maybe he could try the Ukrainian Catholic option. They really need to have more good priests there too.

Amy,

I admire your trust in God. If the priesthood is your boyfriend's vocation I hope that he pursues it. Happiness comes from following God's will even if it isn't apparent at first. If his vocation is marriage, and you two are compatible, I hope that comes to fruition. God bless you both. I'll include you in my prayers.
