Power Of The Rosary Defense Of The Catholic Church From False Teachings
"Neither is there salvation in any other. For there is no other name
under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved."
-Acts 4:12
The rosary has been used as a special defense of the Catholic Church throughout history.
The Rosary has also aided the church in times of heresy when false teachings about the Faith were causing damage in people's lives.
Of the 15 promises of the Rosary, the third promise contains several promises within it...
-
the Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell
-
it will destroy vice
-
decrease sin
-
defeat heresy
In fact, Mary revealed the Rosary to St. Dominic in order to help him defeat the Albigensian heresy.
This heresy taught that all matter including the body was evil. They denied the human part of Jesus claiming Him only to be divine and that human beings were inherently wicked.
Of course the truth is that Jesus is both true God and true man.
The Rosary's role in military victories was not strictly political.
They were victories for the Church itself against Islamic and later Communist influences and take-overs.
The Church could never be destroyed of course, for Jesus made that promise to St. Peter when he said,
"And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." -Matthew 16:18
According to Pope Pius X in his encyclical Pascendi Dominici Gregis,
Modernism is the sum of all heresies. Modernism in a nut shell is the descent from Christianity to atheism.
This heresy continues to plague the church and has strong holds in America and Europe.
As we can see from history the best means of defeating this heresy is by praying the Rosary.
At different times people and nations were saved by praying the Rosary.
The Rosary continues to be used during modern times to overcome current problems for it is still a strong defense of the Catholic Church.
Thereby improving all of our lives and bringing peace and reconciliation to many.
"For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears" -2 Timothy 4:3
