Need To Overcome Fear

In his homily today, the priest said that we should not fear anything and even if we have phobias that those are bad also and we must not have them or we do not have love and do not love God.

I have been afraid my whole life ever since I was a small child. I cannot control these fears. I suffer from bipolar disorder and anxiety disorder.

After the priest's homily, I felt utterly despondent as I have tried but have so far not been able to overcome my fears. I feel there is no hope for me.

Please pray that somehow I can overcome my ever-present fear and especially my phobias, such as fear of people and fear of leaving my home and not being able to return to the safety of it.
