Pilgrimage of a lifetime!

I went on a pilgrimage to Fatima last July 2014 at the age of 30. I had the most amazing experience, which has changed my life forever more and deepened my faith so much.

The reason I got to go to Fatima was a massive blessing in itself.

I had read a book on our lady of Fatima a few years ago and from that moment had such a yearning and call to go to Fatima. I remember at the time saying my prayers to our lady "You have put this yearning in my heart so now I beg you to find a way for me to get to Fatima."

Myself and my husband were going through a very hard time financially and in every way generally. My husband was out of work for two years due to waiting for surgery on his ankles and then recovering. I was not working either, I was looking after our two small children.

Then in January 2014 my sister broke amazing news to me!!

She had a close friend who had recently been ordained and he offered her and me to come on a pilgrimage to Fatima in July, everything was looked after!

When my sister came home to tell me the good news, I was over joyed, I could not believe it, my dream of visiting Fatima was going to come true! Our lady truly answered my prayer. God is so so good.

To say the whole pilgrimage exceeded my expectations is an understatement. I had the most wonderful time, from start to finish, the whole trip was like a dream. A piece of heaven on earth. Fatima is such a peaceful place, you would have to go there to really understand this peace.

I know I received so many graces and blessings there. I had one especially life changing experience in this tiny adoration chapel during the hour of divine mercy. I am so grateful to God. My life, my marriage, everything has been changed for the better ever since.

Everyone I met there were so so friendly, from the people in our group to the hotel staff, to the locals. I met the most beautiful people.

I have such devotion to our lady and to daily recitation of the rosary ever since. The most powerful prayer of all.

I would highly recommend everyone to visit Fatima. God bless
