Private Meditation

There are moments when I close my eyes and pray that a cross will appear. Sometimes it has others beside it as in the story of the crucifixion. I see no bodies. Other times the entire mountain is covered with crosses and sometimes the crosses are on the move or appearing and disappearing. The hill and crosses are usually black like a silhouette against a crimson sky. Sometimes they are randomly placed and other times they are in great rows reaching to infinity. The sight does not disturb me but leaves me longing for an explanation.
